Unlike most “unattached” pretreatment boxes (which only treat large square zones on the garment), our exclusive T-LINK™ Software makes a fluid integrated connection from the RIP to the T-Treater machine to the printer*. Rip software generates a white layer file in order to print the white underbase. T-LINK™ utilizes this white layer to produce a unique “mask” that is targeted to only where the image will be printed. Generic standard masks are hard coded for easy recall; in addition you can easily make your own custom masks with any graphics program. Custom masks can be stored and recalled with the easy-to-use color touch screen display, with or without a PC. T-LINK™ allows the user to vary the amount of spread, simplifying registration with the printer.
By only pretreating the area that will be printed on, you can drastically cut pretreatment costs and improve the look of the shirt. There will be no hard edge of pretreatment visible.*T-LINK™ App is fully integrated with Mod1 PowerRIP and C-Breeze RIP in creating targeted masks. T-LINK™ integration for other direct to garment printers and RIPs is currently in development, but is not necessary to take advantage of the standard or custom masks.
The Low Pressure Delivery System (LPDS)(patent pending) virtually eliminates overspray and fluid bounce. This means that 100% of the pretreatment that is sprayed ends up on the shirt. The LPDS allowed us to design the T-Treater with an open format for easy loading, printing, and cleaning. Furthermore, it allows the T-Treater to be operated anywhere without the worry of overspray. No longer do you need a special area for pretreatment; you can and should operate the T-Treater right next to your printer. This cuts down on space required for printing and print times; while the T-Treater’s unique targeting system reduces pretreatment costs.
The T-Treater supports both Dark Garment Pretreatment and Light Garment Pretreatment
The T-Treater is capable of connecting and controlling two separate types of pretreatment at a time, allowing you to switch between dark garments and light garments at the push of a button. The pretreatments are delivered separately so that there is no mixing of pretreatment fluid. They also have separate settings, allowing you to get perfect pretreats each time, without changing settings when you change shirt types.
The air-over-hydraulic delivery system isolates the pretreatment fluid from the pumps with air, increasing the longetivity of the internal components and improving print quality. Because air is compressible and fluid is not, changes in pressure that result from pump action are absorbed by the air system and therefore not transmitted to the pretreatment fluid. This means the pretreatment fluid always remains at a constant pressure, resulting in extremely consistent and repeatable delivery of an even layer of pretreatment. Furthermore, by isolating the pumps from the pretreatment fluid, they are no longer exposed to the corrosive pretreatment fluid, increasing their lifetime.
The air-over-hydraulic delivery system is powered by a tiny air compressor that is included with the machine, but the T-Treater can also accept plant air when it is used in an industrial setting.
Platens are quickly and accurately positioned easily on a precision ball mounting system for repeatability you can count on. Switch out platens for different jobs or use multiple platens for the same job with absolutely no setup time. With the platen indexing system on the Mod1 all that you have to do to change the platen is pick up the old one and set the new platen down in its place.
Four balls on the bottom of the platen rest in magnetic cups on the platen base. By simply setting down the platen, you can be assured that it will be tightly secured in the correct location for printing. This makes platen exchange quick and easy. In addition, it allows our platens to be interchangeable within production runs, but also between our different machines. The T-Treater uses the same platens as the Mod1, so if you already own one, there is no need to buy a second set of your special platens when you purchase the other.
T-LINK is a computer program that allows you to increase the functionality of the T-Treater and integrate it with your printing process.
