A safety data sheet (SDS: Formally MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheet) is a form containing data regarding the properties of a particular substance. An important component of product stewardship and workplace safety, it is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures. SDS formats can vary from source to source within a country depending on national requirements. It is a good idea to download and print a copy of the SDS for any products you use in case of an emergency. If you do not see an SDS for a product that you purchased through BelQuette, or if you have any questions, please call us at 877.202.0886.
